SAP Excel problem

Hi Guys,

Is anyone know why when we download data into excel from SAP, some of the fields sequence is changed and also the data may not fully download into excel.

Btw, I also encountered problem when I open excel from ALV in SAP, some of the data may not fully display out, for example, the number of records you can view in ALV is not the same total number of records you can view in excel. whats is the problem actually?

1st Q- ITs all because of the requirement, if we need to save our out put data than we go for save it into excel sheet.That data sometime we refer for some other requirmenet also.

2ndQ->When you r downloading the SAP data dont use the icon to upload the data,sometime it gives problem,download the data using the menu, and try i hope it ll work fine

HI Justin, I guess u cannot download more than 255 character lenght from SAP ...So some coloumns will not be downloaded at all. If in case u r trying to download data from the application server to the front end use transaction CG3Y

to download.. this will download it completly....

Hi Justin,

1Q: Please consider In excel maximum record is 65536 records.

2Q: Try to change separator list in control panel, please dont use comma(,) use other weird character. e.g. '^'

I got experience some records got truncated because of this...

I usually download the data in unconverted format and open it in excel...

And I never got the problem...
