SAP database table update in BG mode

Hi,

I am updating a standard SAP table with huge number of records through a program. When I run online, records get updated. But when I run in back ground, some of the records do not get updated. Have u come across any such issue ?

I am using commit work and wait. Should I use "wait for n seconds etc?"
