SAP Application designing is: developing a complete solution / programm or report using ABAP programming language.

R/3 Customizing is to use R/3 functionality specifict to your industry and setting it's parameters as per your requirement.

Providing support is : after impelementation of SAP comapnies requires help in techinical as well as functional area to keep the show running, to fine tune the functionality to adopt changes in the industry rules or standard (just like change of taxation in India)
