"Transaction DS1" ?!?! - in which SAP component? -- "A new user on SAP?!?" --> do you know how many different software components SAP has, to manage users? Please be more specific with your question... In the "old" SAP (ABAP) world, there is one main transaction to handle users and that is called "SU01". Did you ever hear about "help.sap.com" ? Usually there are online descriptions on how to create users for each SAP software component. So it might be a good idea to read the manual...
