SAP ABAP Certification

Hi All,

I am planning to take up certification on SAP NetWeaver 2004 - Application Development Focus ABAP.

It is associate level certification. SAP teched Website says the experience level required to take up Associate level certification is 1 - 3 Years. Whereas the SAP Education website says the requirements is atleast 2 years of implementation experience.

Hi Mathivanan,

Just to remind you this is not the rite forum to find the details of ABAP certification.

Anyway i will give you the required as i took the certification exam this time & cleared it.

First of all now you cannot register for ABAP Certifcation through SAP Teched as it already got over & now you can take up the certification only next years SAP Teched.

For ABAP certification atleast you need one year of relevant experience to take it.

Or else if you are working in a company & you have less than 1 ur of exp, then your company should give a letter stating that you have undergone a training on ABAP & also currently working on it, then you will be eligible to take up the exam.

If you have any doubts of materials which you need to study for certification & etc you can ask me i will guide you.

Thanks For the reply. I have 1.5 years of experience. Please help me with the materials and registration Process. I am ready to take up directly as its urgent i have take up before feb. My company will provide required documents regarding this.

Dear All,

I have SAP R/3 IDES 4.71 running on Windows Server 2003 SP1. Can anyone tell me that what is the difference between normal SAP R/3 and the SAP IDES 4.71 R/3.

Actually i am planning to learn the SAP and want to prepare for the ABAP certification exam though i don't have any prior exposure to the ABAP programming but being an MBA-IT and having experience in VB 2005 and some experience in Ms.Access programming.

Can anyone guide me that what courses i can learn by practice and by using books with this SAP R/3 IDES 4.71. Also it will be highly appreciated if someone can give me the names and ISBN of the books that i can use to learn by practice.
