Can anyone save me a bunch of time and explain the difference between these two? (Which one I should use when?)

SALRT_CREATE_API has more options as well as exceptions

I noticed SALRT_CREATE_API is used in a couple of demo programs and a BAdI whereas SALERT_CREATE_API does not appear to be used anywhere.

SALRT_CREATE_API last changed 04/28/2005

SALERT_CREATE_API last changed 12/16/2003

Any other thoughts?
