Hi All - Our BI team was requesting access to activate "Web Service Datasource" and the Note 913944 says they would need auth objects

S_ICF_ADM

S_SRT_ADM

S_SRT_LPR

S_UDDI_REG

S_SERVICE

S_TCODE = SICF.

I feel this are critical auth obj's and we had some problem with our consultant in Past having this auth.

What is the best practise followed in industry, what you all think about this issue.

For time being Basis team is doing this task for BI team.

What you guys think is this Basis task or BI task.

Thanks All Inadvance.

Hi,

As far as I know authorization to SICF is given to XI admins and Basis admins.

Usually security consultants provide access, may be in your case basis guys are doing.
