S_DEVELOP authorization error in minisap

I am having a problem with the sap minisap system and I am hoping that it can be corrected. I have downloaded and the SAP Netweaver Application Server ABAP 7.02 SP6 32-bit trial version from the SCN download section. I downloaded this version because I am running Vista. the two files that I downloaded were
NWASABAPTRIAL70206.part1 and NWASABAPTRIAL70206.part2.

I unzipped the two files and the folders SAP_GUI_FOR_WINDOWS_720_PL3_CORE and SAP_GUI_FOR_WINDOWS_720_PL3_CORE were created.  I ran the SAP_GUI_for_Windows_7.20_PL3_CORE_Components app and it installed the minisap.

after I log onto the system and try to do something in SE38, I am getting an authorization error for S_DEVELOP.

can someone help me get this corrected?  I am trying learn more about ABAP

Can you please reply with SU53 details on the same.

1). execute SE38.

2). Immediately execute SU53 and plz share abt authorization object

Please give developer access key first.. check you license key. Go to Transaction Code SLICENSE and check for license key.

Hi Timothy,

please make a trace in t-code ST01 at your user and reproduce the error. After you get the error message display the trace file and you get the informations what´s wrong with your authorizations.

hello all,

I do not have access to do the ST01 and SLICENSE.

I can't do a copy a paste from SU53.

here are some details from the SU53 when I executed ST01

If you have access to transaction P'FCG create a role with the authorization object S_DEVELOP.

I signed on as DEVELOPER in client 500

tried PFCG.

tried to create the role DEVELOPER. message at the bottom "no authorization to create the role DEVELOPER".

did a SU53.

In the minisap do you have permissions to transaction SU01 ? If yes include into your user the profile sap_all

I executed SU01 and type DEVELOPER for the user

am I accessing the correct client with the correct user?

I am in client 500 with the user DEVELOPER

You do not need to add any authorizations to develop in the ABAP trial.

My guess is that you are not logging in as BCUSER, and if you are, your license and developer key are not set up.

Also make sure you get a developer license from http://www.sap.com/minisap.

in my initial post I mention the two files that I downloaded. the files in the PDF that are mentioned in the PDF (SAPNW2004sABAPTrialSP11.part1.rar and SAPNW2004sABAPTrialSP11.part2.rar) are not the same.

do I have the correct sap system? I have included the various system, logon information in the above responses.

maybe my problem is that I am not working with the correct system.

Based on those file names, I assume you're using NetWeaver Application Server 7.02 Service Pack 6.  I installed NetWeaver AS 7.03 on my machine (64 bit Windows 7) and followed the document I mentioned earlier.  It worked for me. If you're able to log on at all (and you are) that's a good sign.

As for logon data, I've never heard of client 500 or user DEVELOPER for miniSAP.  Try logging in with client 001, user BCUSER and password minisap.

I tried your logon info and it did not work.

I am beginning to think that I do not have minisap installed.

I did install a sap system from sap ignite. it was called SAP IDES.

when I tried this, I was able to develop. I contacted the person that wrote the blog suggesting this product and he told me to use minisap.

i uninstalled this and I thought installed the minisap but this loooks like the SAP IDES system.

I will uninstall thius again and try to install from the two files that I downloaded
