while creating FM in SE37 , in attributes give that as Remote enabled Function module

then in SM59 , create RFC destination

Create RFC Destination : SM59..

Then Create Function Module in SE37 and look at attributes :

Select Remote enabled Radio Button and now it becomes RFC.

Call the Function module in your program and then use Destination ''

CALL FUNCTION 'Z_RFC_01' Destination 'RFC01'

• V_MATNR =

• IMPORTING

• V_MAKTX =

Hi,

Follow the Steps to Create a RFC.

RFC is nothing but Remote Enabled Funcation Module.

Function Module: Can call within server only

Remote Enabled Function Module: Beetween 2 different servers but same environment we can call.

1. Goto SE37 Create Function Module go to attributes tab there

Remote Enabled select the radio button and RFCs are always

In Import and Export varaibles are Pass by value select it.

2. Remaing all like function module you have to write code and everything.

Upto here RFC is created.

3. If you want to call the RFC we have to create destination.

Means Source system and Target system.

Source System: From where we are calling the RFC i.e. Source system.

Target System: To where it is calling i.e. Target system.

4. In Source System We have to create a destionation.

Destination: Is nothing but To creating a Logical system address to identify the system

Goto SM59 to Create a RFC Destination.

5. In SM59 First screen you will get list of RFC Destions

Select R/3 Connections and Click on list(+)symbol it will gives already created Destions, Select R/3 Connections click on Create buttion, it will takes you into another screen to create Destionation.

6. In this screen give

a. RFC Destination name this should follow as per your standards.

b. Connection Type press F4 select 3 No. i.e. Connection to R/3 System

c. Description give

7. In Technical Settings Tab

Target Host and System No. should give

(Target Host nothing but I.P. address of the system)

8. Goto Logon Tab

In below Logon screen.

Language 'EN'

Client

User

Password

give all the details and Save it.

once it is saved you can test it. Click on Test Connection Button

if it is executed successfully your destinatio is established.

you can call this in Target system.

if it is different servers if you call from pattern it won't come

it source system call anywhere and copy the Function module and paste in

Target system. After Pasteing. in Second line insert the Destionation address

see the below code.

For Eg:

Call Function 'ABCD'

Destination 'DG800'

Export:

Import:

......

Actually Basis people only create Destinations.

Hi

It depends on the type of RFC destination you want to create...

If you want to establish an R/3 - R/3 connection, then choose the same in the list of SM59 transaction. There, you have to give the short text and target system IP address as the only mandatory fields. SAVE and then test your connection with the button above...
