Hi,
We have Z report with approximate 1000 report variants on production system. The report variants are created on production system itself. Recently we modified Z report in development system and added some new fields on selection screen. The latest version of this Z report moved to production system. Since then we are not able to user earlier existing variants on production system. System gives us error message "The variant <variant name> of program is not current version".
User want all existing variants before modifications.
Is there any way we can recover all existing variants?

Thanks for the reply.
However question is whether we can extract or not all previous existing variants with newly added fields in selection screen blank as it would be very time consuming job of creating all 1000 variants again.

Hi,
I don't think u can use the old variant..what u can do is..once again save it with the same name..Now the new variant will have new added selection screen fields along with old fields....So execute the program and save it with the existing variant name,it will over write the old variant..Now it will have new values with old variant name.

I got solution for this. We need to run RSVARFIT after selection screen modification.
