Regarding search help problem

Hi Experts,

I have a search help defined on a Y table storing the UIDs

Unfortunately some of my UIDs in table are stored with 4 leading spaces and the remaining are normal format.

When i search for a UID availability which having leading spaces, with out entering the leading spaces it is not returning a hit.

I cant change the UIDs format. Is there a way i can modify the search help to fetch the values with leading spaces also.

The selection method of my search help is the Y table.

Hi, according to your description i understand your problem but you did not mention that, the search help is elementary or collective search help and the data you have taken from which table such things. I can suggest you that you can edit the search help by going to SE11 and select search help and give the name and click change.

Hi,

The data collected from Y table i have created. Even if go to change mode, i do not have much options .

My problem is occuring because of the data is stored with 4 leading spaces and such data will not be selected unless and until i give spaces in my search string.

Is there any other possibility i can overcome this situation?
