do like this.

PARAMETERS:num(10) type n.

data:len type n,

char(10).

char = num.

SHIFT char LEFT DELETING LEADING '0'.

len = strlen( char ).

write:/ len.

Move it to a CHAR and use the Key Word STRLEN
