If you are looking to learn workflow you should be perfect in ABAP reporting, and its good if you know about business object repository ( BOR ) and you should know BAPI's concept and should be capable to analyse the business functionality clearly.

In SDN if you want any workflow related help please dont post your question in ABAP General forum.

To learn workflow u go to saptechnical.com their in tutorials u will find lots of good materail on this , according to that u can practice urself. In that u can see below scenario where u can learn from scratch:

'Triggering a Workflow whenever a PO is changed '

SDN is the biggest tool where you can find a lot about Workflows.Just type "Workflow from scratch" in search option .

saptechnical is the another link where you can find some examples from scratch.
