Regarding IDOC generation through standalone program and process code..?

Hi Sap gurus,

I have some doubts on idoc generation/programs.

i.e

1) for which program(either Process code or standalone program) triggering time the idoc will be generated?

2) how the relationship will be established between standalone program(ex:BD10) and process code at the time of idoc generation? and which will trigger first that mean whether process code program or standalone program(ex: BD10)?

3) and how to write the idoc program? for the custom idoc program what will be the process code?

Pls let me know the difference between them.
