Regarding feild Description

Hi

I have a requirement like that, I am creating a ztable and in that I am using some standard data element or predefined data type,Now my requirement is suppose I am using CHAR100 and i want to change the descriptionof that as Name, Is there any way to acheive this.

In this case, create your own data elements copied from standard and using the same domains.

you can use the 'Predefined Types' option. there you can mention the data type and give your own description.

I think you have not maintained Field Label. That is why it is coming as +.

Hi,

Some times even when you maintain the field label for some field names it will show as + symbol in sm30. I don't know the reason for this but i too got this type of sutiation before.

What i did is i edited the fieldname in the screens created by table maintainance generator only. From then onwards i was getting the field names correctly.

Try to modify the name in screen generated.

Hi,

After Modifying the data base from the field level u have to undergo the 'ADJUST DATABASE'. then only u can changes will reflect there.

If u r facing the same pblm after adjustment jst delete existing TMG and create a new one.

GOTO-> DATABASE OBJECT -> ADJUST DATABASE.

Hi,

If you generated table maintenance earlier and later on made change to field description or field label, then

go to T-code SE14 and adjust the database table.

And if it still doesn't work then as suggested above..after doing this regenerate the table maintenance.
