Hi Naveen,

In the popular ASAP methodology, you have the following phases in an implementation project:

Project Preparation

Blue Print Preparation

Realization

Final Preparation and Cut Over

Go Live

Support

During the Realization i.e. development phase, you would develop the data migration programs and applications e.g. BDCs and LSMWs.

Then once the Realization phase is over, all the data from legacy system would be moved into your SAP server in "Cut Over" phase and finally on confirming the data validity you would go for a Go Live.
