Hi,
When there are no editable fields u can simply use LIST DISPLAY else go for GRID
When you want to run in background go for LIST else GRID

Hi,
It depends on the format.
ALV_REUSE_LIST_DISPLAY gives list display like classical repord without grid whereas ALV_REUSE_GRID_DISPLAY gives grid display.
Reward pts if helpful.

Hi,
We still use alv list display because it has a advantage of sheduling the report in background.
there are some limitation in alv grid display while you execute report in background.
