Hello experts, this is a question coming from a BW guy.

Can you change the reference object for a currency field (KBETR) in a ztable to reference itself without disturbing any other objects in the R3 system?

For example, table - Z_ADFUND_REBATES

KBETR - references RV13A-KONWA

Can I change the reference of KBETR to Z_ADFUND_REBATES - KONWA without affecting other objects? I guess I am asking if each table can have its own individual references on each object.

Hi Justin,

Yes, you can.

Maybe someone knows better, but I think the use is only for output purposes: The referenced currency will tell the WRITE statement where to put the decimals separator.

Although SAP reference fields are obligatory for curreny and quantity fields, they are not always used as intended.
