reference field unknown in the form

Hi Expert,

While running smartform i am getting an error like 'Reference field WA_DISTAB-KBETR unknown in form' ...

I have defined wa_distab like ZSTR_DIS_TAB in the global field in smartform and trying to use one of the field named KBETR in the smartform. When i am using other 4 fields of the same structure i am not getting any error but for other 3 fields i am getting this type of error.

Could you please tell me how to sort this out ??

Hi,

Quan is a quantity field and needs a reference, as do currency fields. Define this reference in your smartform's Global Definitions under the Currency/Quan Fields tab.

Hi,

I am not finding any special tab named Currency/Quan in my global definitions...there are 5 tabs present under global definitions named Global data, Types, Field symbols, Initialization, Form routines ...so where exactly do i need to define this field and how ??

Hi,

We have 6 tab in Global definition part, the last one is Currency/Quan.

If you opened the formpainter then you can't see that tab. close ur layout set and check.

No dude, my Form painter is closed but there are only 5 tabs which i have mentioned present there under Global Definitions tab...i am using version 4.6C ...is there another way to sort this thing out ??

Yes we don't have that tab in 4.6C.

Check via SE11 ZSTR_DIS_TAB definition, the field (CURR) KBETR should be linked with currency code (CUKY) KONWA, and of course KONWA too must be in your structure.

If correction of the structure don't solve your problem, move your amount to a packed field.
