Hi all,
I am using the FM READ_TEXT to read the standard text, but it also reads the tags Character formats alongwith the text as
<B1> Header Text </>
Is there any FM which can be used to read the text without the formats <B1>..</>,
<RX> ...</> etc.
Else how to achieve it?
Apreciate your ideas.

Hi,
Change the editor(without having lines) while maintaining the standard text, you will not face this problem.
If you are not able to change it now then offset the text ex: text+1(100)

Stock,
Then after reading the text, before populating to the final internal table elimate first character by doing offset ex: tdline+1(100).
Hope your prob will get resolved.

oh well you could od some string operations to eliminate those character formats by hand line by line out of your text.
useful Statements: FIND, SEARCH.
find '<' in lv_tdline.
this will set sy-fdpos. in sy-fdpos you will find the number of characters from the left in which you '<' was found.
the rest is just a little brainwork and offset handling
