IS it always necessary to schedule the RBDMIDOC program in background to generate the idocs ??
or is there any other way to generate the idocs too ?? If there are other ways to generate the idocs
too.......then, when will we use RBDMIDOC progam and when will we use other methods ??

You can run RBDMIDOC in foreground too.
You can also write a custom program to create change pointer idocs, by using CHANGE_POINTERS_READ, the populating the idoc and then calling MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE to create the idocs.
