questions regarding material classification

Hi ,

I am trying to debug the material classification. But before that i want to know some information regarding material classification. I had created a material and i never mention any class while creating it. Now i created a class and its characterstics. how can we assign this class characterstics to that material. Is there any view in mm01 where we can define class type.

Hi,

To create a new Class and its respective characteristics you can use <b>CL01</b> transaction.

To assign this class to material, go to <b>Classification View in MM01 / MM02</b> transaction.
