Hi all,

I am trying to create a purchase requisition. What I am suposed to do is create a purchase requisition and release it. I created one using me51. But when I try to release using me54 it says it cannot be released. What should I do while creating a Purchase requisition inorder to release it. Should I set any status for that ?

I know this is more of functional query but if you can answer me please help me.

Regards,

Varun.

Hi,

To release the purchase requsition first release procedure to be setup in the system. First you need to findout what tye you want. 1)Single Step Release 2)Two step release. Generally this will be configured in SPRO and only authroized people can release the purchase requesitions. First you need to check is there any workflow got attached to this purchase requistion release, if so only the concerned person can release the purchase requistion. When ever you try to release the concerned person will receive a mail in his SAP inbox. Please gohead and check the release procedures configures in your systems.

Here are the things you need to find it out.

1)How purchase requsition release procedures are step

Path: SPRO ---> Material Management ---> Purchase Requsition --->Release Procedure

2)findout the release procedure with classification or without classification.

3)Check is there any workflow is configured.

Refer the SAP help to setup the purchase requsition release procedure.

Thanks&Regards,

Hi Varun,

I think it is due to the release strategy in the purchase requisition (EBAN-FRGST).

Also please take a look SAP OSS Note 887716.

Hope this will help.
