Purchase Order Attachment

Hi Guys

has anyone worked with PO attachments.we need to send the attachment through EDI along with the outbound PO.is there a way to do this in SAP.is there a indicator or something in SAP which tells you that there is an attachment with the PO.

please let me know.

Hi,

I have workd on PO as PDF file in mail attachment . Your requirement is not clear . Do you want send thru IDOC ?

What will your attachment be ... another idoc ... or ??

Please make it more clear .

Hi Sanjeev

thanks for a prompt reply.there is a tab on the change PO transaction where u can attach a file to the PO.now i want to send this attached file across through EDI.we have a outbound interface for PO.so i was just wondering if this attached file can be sent to the receiver somehow.one more option i had was to find out some indicator/flag in SAP saying that a particular PO also has a attachment.in that case the XI system can pull out that attached file and send it over.please let me know if u have some insight into this one

Hi,

I am not sure how your EDI works. I guess it should be in idoc format with which you can send only data and no additional file. Btw what type of file do you attach to PO...

yes sanjay.the outbound PO goes in an Idoc format.but since it goes through the XI system if i can find out a way to know that my outgoing PO has an attachment,the XI guys said they can do something to send the attachment too.so i am looking to find if there is something in SAP maybe in some PO tables which indicates that a particular PO has an attachment with it.i think the file that is going to be attached will be a pdf file.thank you once again for you quick reply and help.
