**I would like to know why is a project created for enhancements while we can directly add a functionality into the standard code using the customer exits provided.**

hi....

Yes we can directly write code and implement the customer exits through SMOD but we can't transport it.

Hence we need to create a project with CMOD .

Hi,

CMOD is the Project Management of SAP Enhancements (i.e., SMOD Enhancements).

SMOD contains the actual enhancements and CMOD is the grouping of those SMOD enhancements.

Under once CMOD you can add multiple exits and create as a one Project and activate in CMOD.

and also you can test in CMOD.
