Processing after a timeout occurs in a Dialog Session.

On our production system, if there has been no activity in a dialog session for 20 minutes, the session will timeout and shut down.

Does anyone no if there is a way to execute some logic when the timeout occurs? Like a timeout user exit that lets the session do some cleanup before shuting down Thanks.

To activate automatic logging off, do the following:

• Go to Profile Maintenance by choosing Tools --> CCMS --> Configuration --> Profile Maintenance or the transaction RZ11.

• Maintain the parameter rdisp/gui_auto_logout. Enter the required number of seconds of inactivity before the user is logged off automatically.

To deactivate automatic logoff, delete the parameter from the profile(s) or set the value '0'.

tell ur basis to increase the value of this parameter: rdisp/gui_auto_logout.

the value will be in seconds.

i think, its in rz11 tcode.

Note: if ur server is restarted completely...u will loose this value and get the default value.

Thanks. However, the solution is not to prevent the session from timing out. That is not an option. I need to be able to take some action when the timeout occurs. I would like to be able to execute some code when a timeout occurs.

I've never heard about such a possibility. The timeout is invoked on a low system level, I cannot imagine that there is any kind of code exit available. I would be very interested to learn better.
