Procedure for transporting Java roles

Hello All,

I have to transport the JAVA roles. I know it is to be done by using CTS+. But please let me know the steps for transporting the JAVA roles. Thank You !

You may wish to seek advice from your basis administrators for this!

It also depends which kind of system you are working in. In GRC for example, there is no transport path and therefore you have to simply export and import roles directly from flat files.

Hi Simon,

I am working in XMII system in which I created the JAVA roles thru UME. Now I have to move these roles to the QAS. I want to confirm, if just export and import options will work here in XMII. Thanks again!

The Import / export may well work but be sure that you have taken advise from your basis team and also consider any change management processes into consideration before you do it otherwise, you may find yourself in more trouble!!
