HI experts,

I have the connection to system defined based on message server. Choosing this connection in eclips results in message: (The system does not support Eclipse based ABAP Development Tools).

SAP GUI 7.3

SAP 7.03, 731

Eclipse 3.7

webservices switched on (but available under different URL then the one assigned to "test service" button).

Any Ideas?

thank you.

Hi Juzio,

you mentioned you are on SAP NetWeaver 7.03/7.31. Is support package 4 installed in your system?

Thank you for response.

No, we have support package 2 so far. I requested to upgrade to 4. But anyway does the issue with webservices (available under different URL then the one assigned to button "test service") matters?

Thank you.

Since ABAP Development Tools do not communicate via webservices with the application server, I don't expect any trouble related to your webservice configuration.

hmm, it means than that this prerequisite (in PDF which is attached to ABAP_DEV TOOLS) is not valid? There it is described that switched on webservices are required...

Sorry, I didn't get that you talk about the HTTP services for Accessing the ABAP Help.

These services are required for accessing the ABAP Keyword help and some documentation for error messages. They are not required for accessing the application server from ABAP Development Tools in general.

If the HTTP service is not registered for the path /default_host/sap/public/bc/abap/ I would guess, that you can't access the ABAP Help.

Did you change the path? If yes, why?
