Problems about Hold Data

Hi All,

I'm confused by the usage of "Hold Data" menu. I ran the t-code SE16 to check the table T002. In the selection screen I input "DE" in the SPRS field and then click on the menu System -> User Profile -> Hold Data. System indicates that "Data was held". But the next time when I enter the selection screen of table T002 in the same session, the SPRS field is still empty. Does anybody know the reason?

Thanks + Best Regards

Jerome

Hi Jerome,

<b>If Hold data is not activated in the screen attributes, the menu entries like hold data, set data will have no effect.</b>

Have a look at below link.

I hope it helps.

Hold data is different from what ur thinking...Ur entering DE in selection-screen of table view and U can execute for values...

Ur trying to use System -> User Profile -> Hold Data which is not for holding the values mentioned in selection-screen of table views...This is different...It holds the user profile data like Name, Date format, qty format, curr format, time zone etc...When ever U do above thing it says data was held.

Hope U got the answer....
