Hi. I'm trying to create a simple grid.

REPORT ZWOP_TEST1 .

TABLES:
 zpersonal.
DATA:
 nachn LIKE zpersonal-nachn OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE.
TYPES:
 my_grid TYPE REF TO cl_gui_alv_grid,
 my_is_layout TYPE lvc_s_layo.

SELECT zpersonal~nachn
INTO nachn
FROM zpersonal.
ENDSELECT.

* sy-subrc = 0

CALL METHOD my_grid->set_table_for_first_display. ' ERROR
 EXPORTING is_layout = my_is_layout
 CHANGING it_outtab = tmp.

but I receive an error:

Field "MY_GRID->SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY" is unknown. It is neither in one of the specified tables nor defined by a "DATA" statement.

I'd be grateful for help. Greetings.

you have to create a container for the GRID

chk this , double click on screen 100 and create a screen and a container in that

chk DEMO program BCALV_GRID_DEMO

PROGRAM TEST.
DATA: OK_CODE LIKE SY-UCOMM,

Hello Piotr

You have to instantiate the grid instance before calling any methods. In addition, for creating the grid instance you require a container instance in which the grid is displayed.

Have a look at the following sample program.

The following sample report show customer data ("Header"; KNB1) in the first ALV list and sales areas ("Detail"; KNVV) for the selected customer in the second ALV list.
