Problem with external Debug

hi all,

I put an External break point in Generated function module in Smart form.But when iam trying to do debug in SRM web link.Its calls internal screen instead of calling external screen.So its taking long time for every F5(Single Step).I found an error message that 'No additional external mode for new abap debugger available' .I done all settings in SAP GUI.Please do needful help.

i am not getting y dat is not working as i hav kept the break bit it works

try shifting to the clasic debugger mode

Hello,

That should actually work. Try to change to the classical debugger.

Goto - UTILITIES -> SETTINGS -> Select tab ABAP EDITOR -> Select the sub tab DEBUGGING and check the radiobutton for classical debugger.

Hi,

you might have already opened 6 sessions thats why its giving such an error.

close one or two unwanted sessions and then "switch to New ABAP debugger"
