Problem in SPAU ... Cannot open program in modfn. assistant

Dear All

I am facing a problem is SPAU utility. I have some objects in SPAU utility (in With Modification Assistant).

I was in the process of applying note 772971 and in that I need to do some modifications in the FM - J_1IEXGM_BADI_LINE_MODIFY.

I got the access key of the FM - J_1IEXGM_BADI_LINE_MODIFY. I tried to open it in change mode using SE38. Here I got the following message.

Carry out modification comparison for FUNC J_1IEXGM_BADI_LINE_MODIFY first. No changes possible

Our service provider has told us to clear such an error through SPAU utility. I opened SPAU and found the ‘J_1IEXGM_BADI_LINE_MODIFY’ FM in Corrections with Modification Assistant.

I clicked on the Traffic Light to open in modification assistant. Normally any program in SPAU at our end gets opened using this utility. However this time it did not happen. It asked me for transport request. I entered but it again it threw me error ( A big dialog box appears saying you cannot use modification assistant … I don’t remember that error exactly as tried several operations on it after that).

Then I tried to reset that object to original. But I am getting error ‘Object FUNC J_1IEXGM_BADI_LINE_MODIFY is already adjusted; reset not possible’.

Right now the status in SPAU looks as below in front of me. ( The screen could not be copied and pasted so I am just displaying Text part .. The icons are not there in below cut and paste ….X refers tick mark of wrong is appearing there in sub request and Tick means Correct Tickmark appears in front of this … I hope those who have seen SPAU will follow this hierarchical structure)

So there are some changes took place and I can see a latest version file generated. But I am still not able to open the FM J_1IEXGM_BADI_LINE_MODIFY and it gives me same error

Can you guys tell me how to solve this. My service provider has solved this once but he is not telling me how to solve it. He just told me to visit service.sap.com/spau

However can you please tell me how to solve this problem.

at least let me know whether I am clear on my doubts. Because I am not able to attach my file here where I have kept screen shots. I can send it to your email id if you can give it here.

Hi Amol,

I am also getting same problem , i am not able to do changes in program

(LBAPIS1068F07) when i do implement the notes thro SPAU..pls let me know how did u solved this ???

Carry out modification comparison for REPS LBAPIS1068F07 first. No changes possible

before Implementing the note , first do the with Modifications assistant , I think this program lies in this node. After that implement the Note.

do some changes then import Std,SAP , and also cehck the transport requests.

I tried with modification assitant there it is giving the message
