Problem in new system

Hi all,

recently my client has implemented a new system,in which it shows a warning while going to edit that "Carry out changes in non-original system only if  they are urgent". But when i makes any changes in it through "REPLACE TAB". I didn't get my code while i am going to debug it.Can anyone tell me whats the problem in system,and how to remove this constraints.

Dear Sanjeev,

The program is in lock mode, so, go to SE03 tcode and where use the Change Object Directory entry and their by give the program name and then popup come and unlock the program.

It may be helpful, please check, if it is another one problem, please you let me inform, so I could help further.

If you want to edit the programs (copied) in the new system (new development system, upgrade or new landscape project ?) without any problem and manually desactivating the modification assistant, you have to relocate those objects in the new system.

For one or some objects, go to object directory and change source system, ofr many object performs some search on package change and relocation transport.(relocation transport.) look also at SE03 or SE80 transactions...

I think you are using development server as copy of other client. Therefore the existing object is locked with different "Source" system and may with different "Target" system. Do as suggested by Raymond Giuseppi  and HIMANSHU GUPTA and also change the source and the target system.

Hi,

Original System Name is different from New system name. check Object Directory entry.
you can Change Original system name by using SE03 Change Object Directory entry.

Or if you don't want to change original system name then

SE38 --> Enter Program Name --> Click on Change (you will get a warning message) --> continue
Edit --> Modification Operations --> Switch Off Assistant

Now you will be able to change the code directly.

Also see the table TADIR field SRCSYSTEM, you will get Original System of the Object.

Hi,

Try the following one it will help you.

Edit>Mod. Operations>Switch off assistant go out of the program and come back.

It will available for you in edit mode.
