Problem in field exits

I have a couple of doubts in feild exits.

1. I am trying to get a information message displayed but the dump says that we can only have a success or error message.Ne work around ?

2. I am trying to use a popup function module that to aint working.

3. Is there ne ways to dispaly a popup or a warning messages in a field exits?

I THINK FROM FIELD EXIT YOU CAN NOT CALL ANY SCREEN OR ANY POPUP. BETTER TO USE FUNCTION MODULE EXIT FOR SHOWING THE POP UP OR ANY MODAL SCREEN.

No user exit in that screen, what is a FUNCTION MODULE EXIT ??
