problem in creating table maintance generator

Hi everybody,

I was trying to create table maintance generator for Ztable.

The procedure I followed is

1. go to ztable

2. Utilities -> create maintanance generator

then I saw the screen

there i clicked on create screen maintance.

3.press enter and save.

Now when I go to sm30 and give the Ztable name and click on display, it si going to ABAP dump(syntax error in screen).

Can anyone help me in this..as now this haas become priority issue.

hI Raghu,

Once u get into table maintanence generator screen

give the screen numbers

provide authorization group as &NC&

give a new function group name

now say create and save

Hi,

table maintanance Generator is used to manually

input values using transaction sm30

follow below steps

1) go to se11 check table maintanance check box under

attributes tab

2) utilities-table maintanance Generator->

create function group and assign it under

function group input box.

also assign authorization group default &NC& .

3)

select standard recording routine radio in table

table mainitainence generator to move table

contents to quality and production by assigning

it to request.

4) select maintaience type as single step.

5) maintainence screen as system generated numbers

this dialog box appears when you click on create

button

6) save and activate table

One step, two step in Table Maintenance Generator

Single step: Only overview screen is created i.e. the Table Maintenance Program will have only one screen where you can add, delete or edit records.

Two step: Two screens namely the overview screen and Single screen are created. The user can see the key fields in the first screen and can further go on to edit further details.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply but now the problem is to solve the abap dump.

I have activated previous version of the table but even then it the issue is not solved.

Can any one help me in solving the abap dump.

Hi,

What you can do is to double-check again your ztable. check all fields, domains, etc. adjust it and activate it via utilities->database utility. Then in the table maintenance generator check if you have providedauthorization group, the screen number whether it is single or two-step. After checking, activate it.

Raghu ,

Try this Option ,

Go to table maintenance Generator Screen , Click On Change Button , Will Pop-up screen with changes required by you.

Check the respective Check-box OR all and enter.

This setup will delete the existing screen and recreate the same.

Now you come back to table and activate. Check in SM30.

If you still get DUMP , Let us know th DUMP Descrption.
