Problem in ALE

Dear Experts,

I have been trying to configure ALE for Purchase Order. In ME21N (Tcode) after filling the data in output control table when I'm pressing the "Communication Method" button I am getting the following error message.

"No communication data has been defined for transmission medium A"

I have created model View and also distributed it. Pls help in proceeding further.

Hi,

I guess you have not maintained records in the Output condition table. Or try selecting the Medium as 6(EDI).

dear ravi

have u given sender reciver in distribution model view after that u have to generate partner profiles by using t code bd82 or go to environment-> generate partner profile it will generate some communication settings regarding ale point of view after that only u have to distribute model view to make modelview independent of clients

Thanks for your response. I have done all those things i.e, determining the output conditions, generating partner profiles and also distributed thm. After doing all those settings itself I am getting that error. Please guide me further how to proceed.

Hi Ravi,

This is a very common problem while ALE configuration.

If you are pretty sure that Output type and condition records exists correctly, then you should cross-check the configuration part. If the configuration part is no doubt, then only the Output conditions might have not set properly. In most of the cases it fails due to missing Output conditions.

May I know what is the Condition table fields you have taken and how did you configure?

if ur creating new purchase order u have to work with t code MN05 to maintain condition records in that transaction u have to give neu for new purchase order

after that choose purchase org num and vendor num after that u have to give tnasmission medim as A for ale 6 for edi, date and language

Hi Ravi,

Do following steps..

Go to NACE and select EF and click output type from menu.

Give following value.

Condition component Value

Create a new outputtype.

Access sequence 0001

Dispatch Time e.g. 4 (immediately, IDocs are generated immediately after posting)

Transmission medium A ALE

Partner function VN

You must maintain following values for outbound partner profile for vendor.

Partner type : LI

Partner function : VN

Port : assign ur port

Outbput mode: Tarnsfer IDOC immediately

Basic type : Order05

Packet size: 1

Application: EF

Output type : Outputtype u created in t-code NACE

Process code: ME10.

Follow these steps.
