can we say that using pf## codes is equivalent to assigning short-cut keys to UI elements like buttons menus etc.

Hi,

You are almost correct. Setting a PF status to button (UI elements) is nothing but providing shortcuts for those UI elements.

So that you can directly access functionalities of that UI elements.

Hope it helps you.

Hi,

As Sandeep told Pf status nothing but creating menus and all operations that we perform . It contains buttons, menus all. There you can create short cuts for that .Save and Back are standard functions in that.

Madhu.

Set PF-STATUS is used to create the menu like you want to display. (Menu Painter)

You have multiple options of back, print, search etc, as well as that you can create your own using pf-status you can create display vendor info , material info etc...
