Performing client copy to get transaction data in DEV client

Hello friends,

I want to know,

1. When we make a client copy whether the user developments or user specific customizations(which is either completed or is in incomplete state) that is currently in the target client is erased or not.?

2. Our development client is not having any transaction data. Is it possible to copy the Master Data & Transaction data from the Testing/Prod. client to DEV client?

3. If so then how it can be done? What should be the profile that I should choose?
