Performance Problem with BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN

Hello,

We are using BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN to update new WBS elements to an existing project. It works fine till number of WBS elements in project are less then 1000 but after that this BAPI takes a lot of time to (approx 28 Seconds with 3000 WBS elements) to update the project.

Is there any other FM, BAPI, Method to update the project which we might be able to use. I tried doing a BDC recording for CJ02 but it didnt solve our problem.

Any inputs/suggestions.

Look at note 455742. May be it'll halp...

Hi,

I looked into the note, because we are on 4.7C version all this functionality (mentioned in Note) comes by default in 4.7C.

But thanks a lot for pinting out the note and i am rewarding points for it.

Anybody any other ideas/hints.

We are facing performance problems with this BAPI. It takes long time to create a large projects. Can you share your view on performance improvement and time taken to create your project with no. of WBS & activities.
