PERFORM.....ON COMMIT

Dear Experts,

My problem is as follows..

I am performing 311 goods movement using BAPI and then updating 'Z' tables in a subroutine PERFORM.....ON COMMIT.

Now in some situations like power loss or other data is getting updated in 'Z' tables but not in standard tables like MKPF or MSEG..

I have found a BADI but some fields which i wanted to update in Z table are not available in the structures in BADI.

Looking forward for your responses...

Regards,

Sudheer

Excuse me, I didn't quite get what your tuning or performance problem was. Actually I didn't quite understand what it is you want us to comment on at all. Could you please elaborate?

I can comment on the likelihood of power loss. Yes, it may happen. BUT, your servers should definitely have some sort of UPS solution which allows them to complete ongoing COMMITs and shut down gracefully. I wouldn't be to worried if I was you, as there will probably be all sorts of problems if your servers get cut off just like that.

For testing you need

1 SAP system

1000 users logged into SAP system and pressing a Save button at the same time

1 person with a sharp axe who cuts the power cord (alternatively just flicks the mains switch)
