Payroll Function

Hi Experts

I have a requirement of writing a Payroll-Function (PE04) .ie., whenever the payroll is being run my function should also be triggered which in return will update all the clusters and tables included in the payroll. I am taking the values from a custom Infotype for populating those clusters and tables.

I need a help to know how to perform this task (How to trigger the function). Where to write the coding and the clusters available in payroll. I am doing it as a replica of the Payroll Function p0045. So where can I get(import parameter) the data as P0045 gets.

Can you give me some more clear examples or work examples for the payroll function operations. I need to know some more things about payroll operations. Especially regarding the PE04 transaction.
