table maintanance Generator is used to manually
input values using transaction sm30
follow below steps to create one:
1) go to se11 check table maintanance check box under
attributes tab
2) utilities-table maintanance Generator->
create function group and assign it under
function group input box.
also assign authorization group default &NC& .

it to request.
4) select maintaience type as single step.
5) maintainence screen as system generated numbers

6) save and activate table
using sm30 you can create entries manually.
also check below thread to assign transaction code to
table generator

Samanvi,
Open SAP tables for direct maintenance
1. SE11 enter table name
2. Go to Attributes tab
3. Change the delivery class to 'L'
4. Follow the path Utilities -> Table maintenance generator
5. Change the recording routine ( bottom of the screen) to NO, or user.
6. Activate the table, do NOT recreate the table maintenance routines
Create Parameter transaction for SM30
Assuming that you want the user to maintain a table or view using SM30 but you do not want them to see the initial screen of SM30. For e.g. V023 - Material Group.
Steps tested in 4.6x :-
SE93 - Type in a transaction name e.g. ZV023
Click create - choose parameter transaction
In the Create Parameter transaction screen, fill in the following fields :-
Transaction SM30
Tick Skip initial screen
Tick Inherit GUI attributes
Name of screen field Value
VIEWNAME V023
UPDATE X
Press F8 or click the Test button for testing.
Save it and with the required authorization, the user will be able to use transaction code ZV023 to maintain the material group

Anil,
Ports are a logical representation of the communication channels in SAP. R/3 defines four types of ports viz. tRFC (transactional Remote Function Calls), File, R/2, and Internet. ALE can use all port types to distribute Idocs.
You use the port maintenance in the IDoc adapter to establish an RFC connection to the system that contains the metadata that the IDoc adapter requires to convert IDocs (Intermediate Documents) that have been sent to it to IDoc XML format. This system is defined by the sender port and the client in the IDoc control record. It is either the sender SAP system or an SAP reference system.
You must maintain a port in the IDoc adapter for all clients in each SAP system that you want to connect to the Integration Server using IDocs.
This is also the case for receiver systems if they are subsystems (non-SAP systems). Systems of this kind are defined using the receiver port in the respective communication channel.

hi,
In partner profile we define the system which are going to communicate between themself and send data ... here we give some logical name for the system which are going to be partners in data communication.we set it using<b> WE20</b>
Port is a medium through which we send the data it connect one system with the system in other end its unique ..depend on the scenario we use diff ports like file port(EDI) transactoional port(ALE) internet port(for internet apl) ..like this i dont remember all the name.. so according to our application type we select the ports we set port using <b>WE21</b> usally tport name start with A*** something like this. withour defining a port we cant communicate with other system its the linker b/w the 2 sys
reward if this helps u
