Package Change

Hi Friends,

I'm trying to create one domain ZDOM. But it is automatically assigned to one package ZABC say.

I don't want to save my domain ZDOM in package ZABC. Instead of package ZABC I wanted to store it in ZMMM.

If I will approch Object directory entry then I am getting package as uneditable.

Any suggestion how I can change the package of existing object.

Regards,

Poonam

Hi

In SE80, Select the Option Package... Select the package..in which your domain is stored. Locate the folder with your domain name in the list and right click on the folder..select Other Functions and then select "Change Package Assignment"...Now give the package where you want to store it.

Vishwa.

Hi Poonam ,

first of all .... things dont get automatically assigned ...

now if things are happening that way ... i suggest u store it as a temporary obejct

and then u can change the "package assignment" of that domain using SE80...

U can also do the same via transaction SE10 ...

You can change the assignment of an object in the Object Navigator as follows:

1. Select the required development object in the object list.

2. Choose Other Functions -> Change Package Assignment from the context menus (right-click).

The Reassign Object dialog box appears.

3. Enter the name of the new package.

4. Press enter to confirm your entries.

If the object was not already assigned to a change request, you must enter a change request.

5. Enter a valid change request and press enter.

hi,

Any custom object you create will not be stored by default in any package you have to assign manually.

If you want to change package of existing object than goto se11 ,give domain name ,change,in menu - goto - object directory - change.
