OWN Data --SU3

Normaly the user can use the path SYSTEM--.User Profile->Own data and then maintain one's owndata tel.Number, First name , internet mail etc.

In my landscape the users are unable to edit the Internet Mail.

How can this be overcome ?? any thoughts ?/

SAP standard. in every system. e-mail addresses can only be maintaind by admins.

Does that mean that I need to change the email add of each and ever user should they need to ?

if you are not connected to a LDAP providing these informations, i'm afraid, yes.

Actually, We are and it was being updated. but some good angel smiled and was at work ..suddenly this area is populated with intresting alphabets!!

Well I was wondering I from the authorization stand point goofed up something...but am now happy !
