output device setting

can anybody tell me were can we do the output device setting in sap . i mean when i am trying to print my layout i am not able to print it . but i can c my print preview perfectly . i trying to display my print out with tcode iw32 for work order

u can use transaction SPAD.

hii kishan thanx for ur prompt reply . the thing is that whether i am using lp01 or locl i am not able to take out the print out .but i can c the print preview . so wat should i do in tcode spad . do u think we have to do anyother kind of settings for output device related with the print out .

go to transaction SPAD,

in Devices / Servers tab press Output devices button

Double click on the device type of your printer.

if it is not there u can create using create button in menu bar.

it is better take help from basis guy it is a min work for him.

Hi Rohith,

When u use Printer LOCL, what is the message you are getting, if you are getting this message 'Spool request (number 0000021635) created without immediate output', then goto Menu-><b>System->Own Spool Request</b>, select the spool and click on the Print Icon in the application tool bar.

hi,

THe SPAD is a transaction mainly used by admins/ basis. check with them to make sure if it ok.

Also, if you are not able to get a printout, is atleast the spool getting created.

If the spool is getting created then it is some local problem with your printer settings.

actual i am not hvng a basis guy over here . so i ahve to do it . for me no spool request is getting created . when i am issueing the print button i am getting out of the transaction and a message is displayed as order no is saved .
