OSS Notes Implementation

Hi all,

This is regarding the OSS notes implementation.

I have an OSS note to be implemented which I have downloaded and it has the IMplementation Status as "Can be implemented".

I got the info. that if it has "Can be implemented" status then on executing the OSS Notes it automatically is applied in the SAP system at the relevant place. Is the above statement right?

Also if I execute the OSS Note I get a list of other OSS notes that are to be downloaded and to be loaded in the SAP system. Are this the pre-requisite notes to be applied first.

Since I am new to OSS notes, would like to have some ideas on this.

Thanks,

stock.

Hi stock,

you have to download all the relevant OSS-Notes, and you have to read them. It is possible that there are manual changes to be maintained in the system before you can apply the rest of the note automatically.

If there are no manual works to do, you can apply the note via transaction snote, if you are prompted to download more notes, do so and make sure to read them. If all notes can be implemented automatically, you can do so for all.

I hope you are comfortable with abap as it is possible that you have to do some changes on your own.
