Hi

This Option Is Available In Excel and Not in SAP.

In the Excel File when You Open , Go to the Menu -- Tools --> Protection -- > Protect Sheet or Workbook whatever you want you can select.

Then It will ask for the Password, Give the Password and save it.

And again if you try to open the file or access the sheet it will ask for the password you have given.

Bye

Hi mohan,

But this is possible only after the data is filled inside the excel sheet. But my requirement is that after the file has been created as a template with password protection and then data is filled into the excel sheet. Is that possible?

Yes, It is possible to edit/update the file irrespective of Password Protection.

Password Protection works based on the options you use, either one can edit, read or write in the file.

So enabling the Password Protecttion, means one can access(read/edit/update/save) the file by entering the Password.
