To my SAP user id, the developer key is mapped. Now to I need to edit the standard object it asks SSCR key.

Ask your admin (the one who provided you the developper key) for the object sscr key, provide him/her the identification of the object (basis release, Program ID, Type, Object Name)

He/she will register the object on SAP support portal Software Change Registration, Objects

Connect with a correct user to the SAP Support, and request a key for the object, you will need : object type / object name / installation number

Ask the people who gave you the developer key, they will give you a SSCR key.

NB: I'm surprised that you being a new ABAP developer, you already need a SSCR key to change a standard object - and you can often extend them with BAdI, Enhancement Framework, etc., which don't require SSCR keys.
