New Directory in Application server

Hi,

I need to load data in SAP application server. i will use CG3X to load the data.

I need to create a new directory in the application server to load all my flat files. Does any one know how to create a directoty?

Please provide list of steps and transactions used for creating this.

Use T-Code FILE and AL11

Although people are eager to help you with this requirement, I really don't think this is something a developer should be doing himself at least not without the knowledge of your administrators. They tend not to like it when you are doing THEIR work and they have to maintain something they are not even aware of.

So it would be wise to consult them first, and they will be (or should be) able to help you with that.

Hello,

You are supposed to contact the BASIS team and ask them to create it. They will log on to OS level and create it easily.Then you can use CG3X to upload file on application server.
