Hi All,
I am new to Idocs. I had a problem in PR2. The problem is .....
The Sunday weekly supplier schedule fails from time to time with and invalid IDoc structure. If it gets re-run the following day the IDoc structure is valid. Can a developer validate ? why the structure fails during creation on Sunday but works the following day ? plz give me solution..it is urgent.

the structure may not fail . The data in the structure may fail validation. You shoudl check the data in structure and see if anythign is data dependent in that.
Once case could be that there is a pre-requisite for the IDOC data to be processed. When you run it on a sunday the pre-requisite job is not yet run and the data is not created. The pre-requisite job might have been scheduled ot run later. So when you come back on monday, the pre-requisite data is in SAP and hence it will process the data you have given.
Just check on the jobs that run after this job on sundays.

Ok. Start doign the followign steps.
1. Go to SM37 and check the time your first job ran and make a note of the jobs that ran after that on sunday.
2. Validate the data in the structure with your functional consultant and ask him to check if the data is correct functionally..they may have a clue of there is any depndency of this record on a scheduled job.
3. If you still dont get an answer then post the structure and the values that failed. I'll try to figure out whats wrong. but might be difficult as I cant look into your system.

Hello,
Can you post the exact error for IDoc (you can check that in we02 ).
Or in we02 you can check the complete Idoc segments. If there is some problem with IDoc segment , then IDoc status record will specify the same ( not always but in many cases.)
Thanks.

Hello,
There is some syntax error for IDoc.Check whether IDoc data is structured correctly.By any chance are you using factory calender in your data? or any calender data ?
Please specify whether it's custom idoc or standard idoc? Also ...check in we02 which segmetn it's amrking as error ?
Thanks.

Hi,
I want some clarification....I observed that Idoc structure like this.
E1EDP09 (Root segment )
E1EDP1A (sub elements )
E1EDP1B
E1EDP1C
E1EDP10
E1EDP11 (sub elements )
E1EDP12
E1EDP14
E1EDP16
This Idoc is having 1400 records. when I check the syntax error in status 26 it is saying that E1EDP16 segment has the attribute 'Mandatory' in the syntax description of the basic type DELFOR01. I saw this idoc log ..it given that
Error position in Idoc is at 1250 segment. So ..i observed that every E1EDP10 segment E1EDP16 segment data is there. only at 1250 number segment under E1EDP10 segment E1EDP16 segment data is not present. Does it mean that E1EDP16 segment is mandatory under E1EDP10 at 1250 position ?
replay as early as posible..Thanking you

E1EDP16 is a mandatory segment and if your IDOC does not have it, you will get a syntax error.
